Millie began practicing yoga in 1999 while living in Grand Rapids, Michigan as a way to quiet her mind and heal her body. Initially, she practiced Hatha and Iyengar yoga but has expanded her practice since 2014 to include Ashtanga, Core Strength Vinyasa, Power Yoga, Restorative and Yin Yoga.
Millie was certified as an RYT200 in 2015 in Melissa Scott’s Sacred Glow Core Strength Vinyasa program. In 2016 she pursued a second 200 hour training in alignment based yoga with Kim Drye and Rebecca Impello through HereNow Yoga. She completed a 50 hour certification in Restorative Yoga Therapeutics with Jillian Pransky and has trained in Yin Yoga with Pamela Chang and Elizabeth Steward. She teaches Restorative, Yin and Gentle Yoga classes and has co-facilitated discussion series on yoga and body image.
